Summary
Fast moving samurai movie featuring many, many ninjas.
Review
Whoever was responsible for my missing out on Samurai Fiction until recently will be sacked. They might as well clean out their desk now and go job hunting on Craigslist, because I am done with them. Wait. That’d be me, because I never watched my bootleg VHS copy because the first ten minutes were of an absolutely atrocious quality.
Hiroyuki Nakano’s 1998 samurai epic features a completely irreverent tone roughly in line with Stephen Chow’s Hong Kong movies, a ton of ninjas, and some wonderfully anachronistic musical choices. Recommended? You betcha! Cool! Funky! Peace!
