Summary
A FBI agent goes undercover as a surfer in order to apprehend a band of bank robbers.
Review
Keanu Reeves is former football star and current FBI agent Johnny Utah in this enjoyable excuse for a drama. A gang of bank robbers, led by heart throb Patrick Swayze, is disguising themselves as former Presidents of the United States (the president, not the band). This group also loves to surf. Therefore, Utah goes undercover as a newbie in the ocean in order to befriend the group’s fearless leader and bring him down!
Forgive the lame pun, but this is a wave of fun! You obviously can’t takes Reeves seriously as an actor, nor Swayze as a tough guy. The result is a classic film that pretends to be dramatic, but must know better deep down inside it’s just a goofy adventure full of faux suspense and emotion. Nothing wrong with that.
