Summary
The boys of South Park hit the big screen for a hilarious romp. After sneaking into the Terrance and Phillip movie, Kyle, Stan, Cartman and Kyle stir up a whole mess of trouble and teach us one big lesson in the end.
Review
Normally, TV shows that spawn feature length films suck. But that is not the case with South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut. All the best elements from the Comedy Central show are present but this time you get to hear them swear instead of beeps!
The mayhem starts when the boys sneak into the R rated Terrance and Phillip movie. Because the movie has harsh language and its cool, the boys start swearing all the time and this does not make their parents happy. It prompts Kyles mom to go on a crusade against Terrance and Phillip and obscenity in all its manifestations, especially Canada. While this movie uses swear words more than a sailor, it is also smart, using jokes and comedy to relay filmmakers Trey Parker and Matt Stones message that really everyone is too uptight and parents are the ones who need to regulate their kids, not the media or anyone else.
Musical numbers such as “Kyles mom is a big fat bitch and the Oscar nominated “Blame Canada” (damn you Phil Collins!) are film highlights and some of the funniest songwriting ever. Saddam Hussien is gay with the devil and of course Kenny dies. For even casual fans of the show, this is a must see and for people who hate South Park and think the cartoon show is stupid, immature and a waste of time, then go beep yourself.
