Summary

A shipwrecked baby is discovered and raised by ninjas, doesn’t quite fit in, but is forced to redeem himself by fighting some crime or another.

Review

Chris Rock said of his appearance in this film “It was awful, man, but it was money and I needed some money.”

Further elaboration is not entirely necessary, so I will keep it brief. A baby is adopted by a clan of ninjas and named Haru, the Great White Ninja. After he fails to be granted full ninja-hood by his school, and his cohorts are out celebrating, a mystery woman Allison (Sheridan) believing he is a real ninja hires him to spy on her boyfriend, allegedly a counterfeiter.

Hot on the trail, Haru is witness to a murder and eventually ends up in Beverly Hills, proving his worth as he slashes and chops his way to crime-fighting glory. Take it for what it is a Chris Farley movie, and not one of his better ones. Despite being one of the funniest people ever, the late comedian can’t do enough to save this one.
