Short Summary

Lloyd and Harry set out on a cross country trek to return the “lost” briefcase of the cute Mary Swanson. Yes, they are incredibly dumb, but we all know that equals hilarious.

Review

I might be going out on a limb here but this, in my opinion, is both Jim Carrey’s and the Farrelley Brothers’ best and funniest movie. This is more than a few great movie quotes every single joke in this movie is funny. I laugh harder now at this movie then when it first came out when I was 10. Jim Carery is so committed to his role as the idiot limo driver Lloyd that he had the cap removed from his front tooth to look even dumber.

While Carrey shines, it is Jeff Daniels as Harry that really holds the duo together. His best moments include setting himself on fire at the gas station and showing no mercy with Lauren Holly in an epic snowball fight. Of course there is a plot, but really only serves as a giant punch line for Carrey and Daniels. There are too many one liners to count and the jokes never get old or dull (Sea Bass, Shaggin Wagon, Hot Sauce, Cops drinking urine, etc). I never did get that bright orange tuxedo for prom like I always said I was going to (to be like Carrey at the formal) but then again, I never went to prom.

Also Watch.
