Summary
A bored house wife (a very hot Lane) acts unfaithully and less than ideal ramifications ensue.
Review
Despite the fact that Diane Lane’s character fit the title of this movie, I blame Richard Gere. Whatever he was doing, or not doing, to cause this vixen to act unfaithfully is just unforgivable. Unless I missed the part of the story line where Gere, as the husband of a bored house wife, is blind, there is just no excuse for ever ignoring this beautiful woman. If all wine aged as gracefully as Lane, I’d be an alcoholic.
While the plot is fairly mundane stay at home wife seeks excitement in her life and finds it with a younger, foreign, mysterious man from the city any scene in which Lane is fornicating on a bed (or being pressed up against a bathroom stall or bent over the railing of a staircase oh yes) makes this viewing worthwhile. There is even a slight twist in the story, causing at least marginal interest during the parts where Lane is fully clothed and not moaning for more.
